So this is my first official blog post of 2017. If you follow me on Snapchat (@chicintheHOT) or Instagram (@chicintheheartoftexas) you probably know that I had been traveling quite a bit over the holidays. But ICYMI I spent Christmas, my birthday (12/27), my future sister-in-law’s birthday (12/30), and NYE in Las Vegas with my fiancée and best friends. And it was pretty epic.
Some of the highlights of the trip included:
1. Getting to stay in the Mansions at the MGM Grand
2. Afternoon tea at the Mandarin Oriental
3. Attending NYE performance by Drake at Hakkasan (my favorite club in Las Vegas)
4. And my first private jet experience from Las Vegas to Napa for my future sister in law’s bday.
So now that I’m back home and settling into 2017, I want to get right down to business and discuss a few of my goals for this year.
First and foremost, I want to enjoy myself this year. It’s a pretty big year for me, after all. This year I’ll be graduating from college, finally moving in with my fiancee, and begin wedding planning. So, even though it will be a very busy year, I want to try my best not to get overwhelmed, caught up, or stressed out in all the excitement. I really want to try hard and make time for myself to enjoy these big moments, even if it means, unplugging for a few hours at a time, as difficult as that can be.
Another goal I want to accomplish this year is to live a more healthy lifestyle. If you follow me on social media, you may know that I’ve recently teamed up with inBalance, and am now one of their brand ambassadors, which means I get to take all of their incredible classes (yoga, pilates, and barre, to name a few) and tell yall all about it! Since I plan on wedding dress shopping later this year, I have plenty of motivation to hit the gym extra hard.
